How to play Pyramid Solitaire
Take a moment with Pyramid Solitaire before moving to another game. Remove all 28 pyramid cards. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Check the rule that explains your first action. Use the example below to understand a decision.
Pyramid, stock and waste; one stock recycle. Free solo play, no wagering.
Keep the aim in sight
Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules. Use the example to check your reasoning.
Your goal
Remove all 28 pyramid cards. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.
Step by step
- Only uncovered cards are selectable. Pairs total 13; a king removes alone.
- Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
- Draw when useful.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Look at the feedback after the action.
A useful example
An exposed queen pairs with an ace; a jack pairs with a 2. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Keep the controls nearby.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
